Doug Goodhile, GBA
Professional background
Doug has been in the Massachusetts group benefits space his entire career. Post college, he joined his father's firm (Group Insurance Solutions Inc. dba Sullivan Benefits) and learned the business for the first 7 years. From there, he spent time in sales at Fallon Health before they sunset their commercial business in 2021. His last stop before starting Edge Benefit Partners was a large national brokerage firm that recently sold for billions.
The reason he love what he does is he gets to work with so many different types of employers. Each one is different, but the magnitude of the conversation is all relative. It could be a family run business spending thousands a year on their health plan, or a corporation spending millions. Making health insurance decisions on behalf of employees is a balancing act of both personal and financial weight for decision makers. He is passionate about making that process thorough and dynamic, so everyone can move forward confident knowing they've had a comprehensive look at all options.
Outside of work
When he's not at work, you can usually find Doug with his wife - Amanda, daughter - Keeley, and son - Gunnar. They reside in Sterling MA.
